Good Morning World!
Our third day in Paris marks the halfway point on our holiday, easily a time to wallow in the fact that its nearly over, but in my case a time to celebrate another 3 more days in sunny Paris. I’ve always been a glass is half full kind of person.
Day 3 was an aesthetically pleasing day, visiting the world famous Notre Dame, where I was excited to meet my childhood love Quasimodo, also known as The Hunchback of Notre Dame from the 1996 Disney film. Notre Dame sparked childhood nostalgia so had a lovely time dancing around the cathedral pretending to be Esmerelda, much to the discomfort of others.
Notre Dame itself is a working church and while on our visit, there were many people praying, which I can understand must be hard to do when the whole cathedral is full of tourists, despite there being a strict no talking rule. The interior of the church was amazing, with gorgeous stain glass windows and stone statues; far more remarkable than my local church. The whole Cathedral was enchanting from top to bottom, every detail was as I would’ve imagined. From the bells in the bell tower to the gargoyles on the side of the church. The view was incredible and you could surprisingly see a great ordeal of Paris from the top.
After visiting Notre Dame, I headed down to the Luxemburg Gardens, which to me gave off a Blair Waldorf vibe? The sheer vision made me feel like I was in a whole other world. Everything was perfect down to the last rose petal. Such a remarkable and photogenic destination.
