Does my Zodiac Sign fit my Personality?

Good Morning World!

I have never been that obsessed with reading my star sign or predicting my future based on the consolations, however one of my very good friends is completely obsessed with it and reads her horoscope everyday. I wanted to sit down and read the personality descriptions of a typical Leo and see how I compare.

Leo

According to Horoscope.com Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac. These folks are impossible to miss, since they love being centre stage. Making an impression is Job One for Leos, and when you consider their personal magnetism, you see the job is quite easy. Leos are an ambitious lot, and their strength of purpose allows them to accomplish a great deal. The fact that these folks are also creative makes their endeavours fun for them and everyone else. It’s quite common to see a Leo on stage or in Hollywood, since these folks never shy away from the limelight. They are also supremely talented and have a flair for the dramatic. Warmth and enthusiasm seems to seep from every Leo pore, making these folks a pleasure to be around. They do love pleasure!

Firstly lets begin with the phrase “centre of attention” and to be honest growing up I would agree with that, but only in my early years. I was always one to enjoy being the life of the party so to speak but as I have gotten older I feel like ‘centre of attention’ is not a way to describe me. However, I have a real need to be around people all the time and I am a big extrovert and don’t really enjoy being on my own or being in my own company for an extended period of time so I guess that could be a slight resemblance.

“Making an impression” this can either be a very good thing or a very bad thing, and I’d like to think that I am on the positive side of this drawbridge. I always like to make a good first impression because those are moments that you never get back, whether it be for a job interview or even just meeting a new friend, I like to feel and look my best. So yes I do agree with this statement.

Being ambitious and having a sense of purpose is something that I really long to have, but speaking from my own experience I am not a very ambitious person in term of occupation, and am perfectly happy being in a job that doesn’t pay as well just so I can be a bit happier, but in family terms I could say this fits me. I long to feel needed in my family and I want to feel that they do depend on me and couldn’t do it without me, which I think is a trait I carry for all the people in my life. I never want to feel like I am ‘just there’.

Creativity? That’s a good question! I cannot draw to save my life, even my stick men come out looking like plates of spaghetti. My painting skills are zero to none and anything involving glue always ends up being a nightmare. However, I do enjoy elements of interior design.

“Never shy away from the limelight” this seems to be touching on the whole ‘centre of attention’ thing again, but this doesn’t describe me at all, I mean I did do A-level Drama and got an A grade but that doesn’t mean that whatever chance I get I’ll get on the stage? I am actually quite a shy person its just acting can sometimes mask that, as I am not me I’m a character. So I do not agree with this.

Last but not least “warmth and enthusiasm …. a pleasure to be around”, this is something I would love to say is 100% true, but I don’t think this is something I can comment on myself.  What I can say though is that I love to make people feel welcome, I have had my fair share of people leaving me out of things or being a third wheel that I don’t want to have anyone feel like that when they’re with me. Feeling out of place and left out is not a nice thing to feel and I couldn’t stand it if someone felt like that around me.

Overall I feel like some of these things can be related to me, but also I think that these specifications are very general and anyone reading this may feel like they can relate to this too without being a Leo! What do you think?
