Good Morning World!

It has become apparent to me, that throughout my blogging months I haven’t shared with you the biggest thing in which makes me, me. That being said, I cannot help but undermine my sheer existence from a tiny speck of my life. None the less, it is something I have great passion and commitment for. Even since I can remember I have participated in extreme water sports, including Wakeboarding, Water-skiing, and Slalom Skiing. For those of you who have no idea what those are, they are basically snowboarding and snow skiing done on water. You are being pulled by a boat, and depending on which one of those you are participating in, you perform a variety of tricks and somersaults over the boats wake. Having said that, I am yet to partake in this dangerous trick, I usually stick to the classic 360, or Ollie.

The reason in which I am telling you this information is that I took a rather eventful stroll round the outer corners of our lake. I was in a photographic mood, if you will, so excuse the rather inexcusable cliché shots.

IMG_3166This lake is located in the north of Oxfordshire. It is home to the likes of a Ski and Wakeboard Club, where you can have lessons or have fun on various sized ringos. These tend to be the most popular, as the tourists that visit here are on holiday and are just looking to have fun. There is also a Private club, which is what I belong to. This is where you rent or buy a plot by the lake and you can ski as much as you want. This requires you to have your own boat and water sports equipment. This is only recommended if you are greatly passionate about the sport. My Grandparents have had a plot by this lake since they were in their 20’s, so I have been brought up with the idea of extreme water sports.

I lose myself in the luxurious scenery. Sometimes I will head off at daylight and come back hours later, feeling oblivious that there is life outside my secret place.

I have been coming down here since I can remember. I have always loved walking around the lake and playing Pooh Sticks in the stream. (This is a game where you stand above flowing water, preferably on a bridge and each of you have your own stick that you drop it in the water on one side of the bridge, the aim being the first persons stick to cross the bridge on the other side wins. I do believe this is more of an English game). IMG_3152In the summer months, there would be numerous swans and signets walking along the bank between the two lakes. Beware though, these swans may seem all sweet and cuddly, but they are incredibly vicious, and I would know, having been bitten by one when I was five years old.

Despite the vicious swans, and the now cold autumn weather making it almost impossible to get in the lake without hyperventilating, I am in love with this marvellous world. I can’t thank my parents enough for letting me experience such wonderful opportunities.

I realise that I haven’t exactly sold the sport or lake to you, because the Autumn weather can’t help but make the water look so deeply unappealing, however, my love for this place grows each and every time I visit. I could resist sharing my favourite place with my blog.

Autumn Makeup

Good Morning World!

IMG_2977I find myself really starting to enjoy the lustful shades of Autumn. The trees are glowing with oranges, reds and gold, giving me so much inspiration to transfer to my face. When the evenings get longer and the weather gets shorter, its time to revamp your makeup bag and unleash the berry lips and gold smokey eyes.IMG_2986This look is fairly straight forward in being that it incorporates your usual base, foundation, concealer and powder. Then to warm my face up I have been using the Sleek contour kit. This is only a recent discovery of mine, for years now I have heard beauty bloggers rave about this product, but I never joined in on the hype and tested it out. So other day when browsing in Superdrug, I came across this gem, and I am never going back. IMG_2979IMG_2982My eye inspiration has come from the beauty that is moulting trees. I am seriously obsessed with golden smokey eyes. I start by applying a base coat, I used the Maybelline colour tattoo in On And On Bronze, then I cover my lid and inner corner in this gorgeous golden shadow from Revolution called Mountains of Gold. Then for my finishing touch, I add a darker sparkly brown to the outer corners of my eyes and through my crease to add definition.IMG_2978No Autumnal look is complete without a dark berry lip. This stand alone colour adds something extra to this look ,creating the perfect Autumn fairy tale. This look is quickly becoming one my everyday routine.IMG_2990Products Mentioned:

Sworn To Secrecy

Good Morning World!IMG_2341

Blogging anonymously is something that I largely considered before starting my blog. There was something about the idea that seemed so appealing. That I could write about things that I wouldn’t want to share with my family and friends, things that only I should know about. I could write deep and meaningful posts without having to worry that someone out there would judge me. I mean, so many people probably do judge my content, but having someone you know judge you just feels a millions times worse. I contemplated about this idea for a good few weeks, not letting anyone influence my decision. I had blogged before and that was un-anonymously so everyone knew who I was and I felt rather awkward about it every time I posted. There was always that fear in the back of my head that someone from school was going to find it and think I was a freak. I didn’t want everyone I knew to know what I was thinking or what was close to my heart. I would feel like I was on display, and the information could be used as an advantage for any anyone seeking revenge. This was the main reason my first blog disappeared. I was too afraid.

After deciding that I was going to start another blog, this question keep haunting me. Was this blog going to be for my eyes only? or will I share it publically and risk being caught out by a fellow school chum? Last October (2014) I started my second blog, but it was anonymous and it was only for myself. The blog couldn’t be viewed by anyone else by me, it was sort of like my own little diary. I wrote in it everyday and posted about my what was happening in my life. But in a matter of time I found my life began to droop, there was so much stuff going on at home that my social life became one big black hole, and all I wrote about was the vast variety of films I watched that day. I decided to make a stand, to take charge of my life and really feel proud of something. This is when I decided to create my new blog. I used it as a way to distract myself from my home life, and focus on creating good worthwhile content. It made me want to get out of bed and do things; made me want to fill my schedule with blog-worthy material in order to satisfy what readers I had.

There is still something in the back of head that regrets putting my profile on public, I couldn’t bare it if anyone from school ever found out about it. My little space on the internet to share my stories would be destroyed. I would stop writing for myself and start writing for them, and that is something I never want to do. I started this blog for myself, and that’s how it will stay.

I only told a fair few people about my little internet space, and they are people who I would trust with my life. My best friends. I told people who I knew wouldn’t judge me on my content and only encourage me to write more. People I will cherish for a lifetime.

Keep doing what makes you happy.
